Scarecrows and Lighthouses
Scarecrows and Lighthouses is a project by Martin Boyce, Raymond MacDonald and David Mackenzie focusing on improvisation and collaboration between the fields of film making, music and sculpture.
The chair appears out of the idea that both the seating and the audience can be part of the action. The design of the chair feeds freely off of the archetypal and iconic to produce an outdoor chair that could be produced quickly and cheaply. Scatter them in a space, take a seat, something is happening.
